Hotels: The French capital offers a wide range of hotels. They are classified into 5 categories according to their facilities, areas and services. The categories are 1-star, 2-star, 3-star, 4-star and - for hotels of great comfort - 4-star L (luxury). So they suit all tastes and all pockets: from hotel chains to charming private establishments, from modest comfort to the height of luxury. Anywhere in the city, within reach of major museums and monuments, you can always find a quality place to stay. As Paris is a very popular destination, it’s worth booking in advance! Aparthotels: An aparthotel (“résidence de tourisme”) is a medium between a hotel and a furnished apartment, for stays from one night to a week, a month, or even more. Fully-equipped studios with kitchenette, apartments with one or more bedrooms provide the same services as a quality hotel. Most aparthotels in Paris belong to chains and offer 3*** or 4**** accommodation.
